Based on the original tour that gave rise to the name Archimarathon, this tour showcases some of the best 20th Century and contemporary architecture Germany has to offer. The tour will start and end in Cologne. We will be visiting Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich in the South. Then we will be based in Berlin for a few days with side trips to Cottbus of the former East as well as the industrial town of Wolfsburg, before relocating to Cologne for exploring North Rhine-Westphalia, the most populous region of Germany, cities include Münster, Neviges, Duisburg and Essen.

From local heroes such as Gottfried Böhm and Frei Otto (Germany’s only 2 Pritzker Laureates), Hans Scharoun, Günter Behnisch, Sauerbruch Hutton, Bolles+Wilson, Jürgen Mayer H. to international stars such as Alvar Aalto, Peter Zumthor, Herzog & de Meuron, OMA, Zaha Hadid, Norman Foster, James Stirling, Hans Hollein, UN Studio, David Chipperfield, Coop Himmelblau, Peter Eisenman, Renzo Piano, Daniel Libeskind and SANAA.
